Blogoversary Celebration!

WINNER: Amy Swihart

WOW. I've been blogging for two years now (Actually it was in June but whatev!). I always see people doing special stuff when this happens so I will trot along. Someone suggested I should do a list of the best books I found through blogging, and I thought it was a great idea until I sat down and really thought about it. Because, for the last two years, I believe every book I have read, I've found through blogging. Before I blogged, I did not know Goodreads. I did not know one could read reviews of books on Amazon. And I didn't have a whole bunch of people discussing books around me. So I picked my books the prehistoric way, browsing through the library and bookstore and reading the back-covers. I've found books, friendships, knowledge and bits of happiness through blogging. The list would be infinite.

So instead, I'll do a very special giveaway! Yeah, I know cliche blogoversary giveaway. I wish I was more creative sometimes. Anyhow.. If you read this blog, you know that one of my absolute favorite genres is dystopia. I'm pretty much obsessed with the stuff. Here's the chance to win 3 upcoming titles:

  • Legend by Marie Lu ARC (already read it and I must say it's one of my favorite dystopias I've ever read! &l <3 it way too much.)
  • The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch ARC (also read this and has one hell of a dystopian world building!)
  • The Always War by Margaret Peterson Haddix ARC (Hoping to read this soon!!)

I am only asking that you tell me your favorite book of 2011 so far! That's it.
This is an international giveaway and ends Aug 19, 2011 at midnight Central time.

Happy Blogoversary!

So yes, today June 9 my blog turns 1. Big surprise- I did not prepare anything. So instead of something big right now, I will save it for next month when I finally have full-length vacations and surprise you guys with awesome stuff. I dont want to bore you with stats or how blogging has changed my life or whatever unless you want me to. I dont normally get too personal here. So I'm adding a form so you can ask any questions you want or say anything completely anonymous.

Right now I'm just going to be all dumb and pretend I am in my own award-acceptance speech and thank some people who are awesome blogger friends who have helped me in dealing with the blog, *cough* drama *cough*, and helped make blogging a passion for me-- and twitter my second home!

You guys are awesome! :D
