Book-to-Movie Stuff

I'd love to hear what you guys think of everything that's been going on around the casting the two HUGE Young Adult book-to-movies (often describe as Twilight-sized) franchises.

On The Hunger Games side, it seems like Katniss may have already been picked! You can read about it on Galley Cat or The Wrap.
It's not confirmed yet though, so I still have a tiny hope that they might pick Lyndsy Fonseca (Nikita). But, as Lori pointed out to me on twitter, it could have been a lot worse. Jennifer Lawrence is already an Oscar-nominated actress. So it's pretty much official that unlike K-- I mean, this girl can ACT!
On Peeta's side, Alex Pettyfer has been rumored. Which, I believe, would be awful.

And then there's... Jace. That's another story. I think Jace HAS to be Alex Pettyfer. Who else could possibly be more perfect to play Jace? And Sony has closed the open casting call for Jace. I'm hoping that means Alex has been finally confirmed. Lily Collins, who will star as Clary Fray, supports TMI fans and their love for Alex on the roll. She is really excited about the movie and has even opened a twitter account where she tweets only TMI related info! I think she's awesome for the part and has been doing more than her share to please and hear all TMI fans! Yay, Lily!
