Theo is better now.
She’s eating again, dating guys who are almost appropriate, and well on her way to becoming an elite ballet dancer. But when her oldest friend, Donovan, returns home after spending four long years with his kidnapper, Theo starts reliving memories about his abduction—and his abductor.
Donovan isn’t talking about what happened, and even though Theo knows she didn’t do anything wrong, telling the truth would put everything she’s been living for at risk. But keeping quiet might be worse.
Brandy Colbert dazzles in this heartbreaking yet hopeful debut novel about learning how to let go of even our most shameful secrets.

Whoa this one sounds really intriguing. I would never think to mix ballet with kidnapping and the psychology surrounding that. I'll definitely have to keep my eye on this one!

Wow, this sounds intense! I love books that tackle big issues so this sounds like one I'll have to check out. Thanks so much for featuring it!

Happy reading!
Can only agree with Sarah - this does sound intense, indeed! But I'm up for it. Ballet seems to go along with more serious topics almost always in books and after hearing about all the light summer reads, I'd be up to something deeper
ReplyDeleteThis one sounds insanely interesting - ballet (which I love), amid an intense sounding kidnapping scenario? Definitely on my wish list!
ReplyDeleteThe cover for this is stunning! I adore dance books so I definitely want to give it a read.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Who would have thought to mix kidnapping and dance?! Great pick! I'm definitely adding this one!!
