I really loved Under the Never Sky last year and I was really looking forward to having some more Roar. Yes, I am a Roar fan. I kinda want Aria with Roar in fact. But back to the book, Rossi's world returns with its vividness and problems. Perry is in charge now, and Aria needs to help Talon.

We get a lot of adventure, a lot of tension, and a lot of Roar--yay! Since this is the 'middle' book of the series, it's quite hard to keep that love spark shinning bright. Aria and Perry's romance wasn't as electric as in the first installment and the threat looming above them felt less of a threat too. Maybe it was just me but as much as I liked this book, I loved the first one more. The intensity of the first book was missing, but for those of us who missed the characters, we just try to look over it.

Perry's character felt a little weaker which was contradicting to his new position. I enjoyed the twists and turns, though I would've loved more of a mess in the issues they faced. But overall, the flawless third person narration is back and the dual perspective was equally well-done. One thing is for certain: after that ending, it seems like the next book promises to be very action-packed. So many things are left at the edge of doom. This was a very good follow-up and I am really looking forward to reading book 3!
