"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Burning Blue by Paul Griffin
When Nicole Castro, the most beautiful girl in her wealthy New Jersey high school, is splashed with acid on the left side of her perfect face, the whole world takes notice. But quiet loner Jay Nazarro does more than that—he decides to find out who did it. Jay understands how it feels to be treated like a freak, and he also has a secret: He's a brilliant hacker. But the deeper he digs, the more danger he's in—and the more he falls for Nicole. Too bad everyone is turning into a suspect, including Nicole herself.
I absolutely adored Stay With Me, so I can't wait to get my hands on this one!
Release Date: October 25, 2012
Oooo, the same thing happened to a model in England. Adding on Goodreads right away.

I've never heard of this! It sounds really interesting, I like the hacking aspect and digging into someone's life. And that Nicole may be a suspect in her own accident? Definitely added to my To-Read list, thanks for sharing!

This sounds really good. Never heard of it. Great choice. Adding it to my list.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the young blond lady who had acid splashed on her face and her career in television was destroyed. Very interesting! Added to my tbr!

ACID? Of all the THINGS to get thrown in your face, she gets ACID? Wow, what hard luck. Her transformation and turmoil is going to make me cry. At least she gets to be all romantic with a cutey brilliant hacker! I love it when romance is in the air even after tragedy.
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing reading week!

I hadn't heard of this one before, but it sounds right up my alley. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW Pick
I haven't heard of this book before, but it seems really interesting. I love the premise, it is something we see in the news but haven't really seen in the YA genre!

Wow, sounds intense. This reminded me of the woman who got acid splashed on her face and upper body, I can't believe someone would do something like this. Obviously she doesn't look like the girl on the cover...but I think it's brave to write a book about it.
ReplyDeleteMy WoW @ Oh My Books!
I haven't heard of this one. Adding it to my reading list. Thanks for the heads up.
