Guest Post by Suzanne Young (Blog Tour)

Writing about angels in a non-religious way

When I wrote A Need so Beautiful the “angel” books hadn’t quite hit the market yet. In my mind, I thought of Charlotte as part of the light—a universal love that’s for everyone. I didn’t want to make this about religion, about traditions. I wanted to show that love—real, unflinching love—doesn’t care who you are. What you’ve done. It continues to love and forgive and to shine.

I hope the beauty of that comes through in the book, as well as the contemporary setting. I really tried to focus on Charlotte’s story in the real world, while combining it with the supernatural aspects.
