Kate,
I'm here…
sort of.
Find Cameron.
He knows.
I shouldn't be writing.
Don't tell.
They'll hurt you.

Now Kate has no choice but to prove once and for all that Grace’s death was more than just a tragic accident. But secrets haunt the halls of her elite private school. Secrets people will do anything to protect. Even if it means getting rid of the girl trying to solve a murder...

It's funny that as a kid I used to love to read mystery books, and it seems like so many adventure books for children are focused on solving mysteries that I had to wonder why does young adult literature have so little of them? The only YA crime-mystery novels that I remember reading in the past two years are All Unquiet Things, The Body Finder, Cryer's Cross and now The Liar Society. And it's such a shame because they are so freakin' GOOD!

I was hooked to this book from the very first page. It was smart, sassy and extremely fun to read. It's such a rush reading something like this because you never quite know what to expect and the story keeps taking different and surprising turns, that it is all incredibly exhilarating. You'll be as confused as Kate is during the whole book, nothing seems to quite make sense until the story unravels and things are revealed.

The writing was gripping and modern and just delightful. The plot was steady and fast paced, which I always love, and overall its a fresh read that will make you wish there were indeed more mysteries in the YA scene.

  5. I loove mystery books! Especially Sara Shepard's books -- they're so suspenseful! I'm sure I'll enjoy this one too. I like being kept in the unknown sometimes :)

  6. This book sounds wonderful! I love reading mysteries so this one sounds right up my alley. Plus the authors seem rather fantastic especially watching their video you had posted a few weeks back; hilarious! Great review :)

  7. I like the cover, especially the colours and the motive. However I think that it looks more light-hearted than the book is. I also hate the nails of the girl because they don't fit to Kate.
