As much as I loved the dystopian aspect of this book, I felt it somehow fell flat. I really enjoyed reading it, but it was not at all an exciting read. At least for my taste, it was neither fast-paced nor full of action. I did enjoy the writing, and maybe Molly's character, but the plot and the other characters were lacking interesting aspects.
I think maybe the biggest thing that threw me off was the fact that she created a shattered/criminal/dangerous world to which Molly had all the answers or solutions. It was not believable. Plus, the one character -Doug- that actually captured my attention, suddenly just dissapeared from the story. And I also felt there was no resolution or confrontation, just what you knew would happen, happened... The end.
Now don't get me wrong, its not a bad book, but since I'm so in love with dystopian lit, I guess I had some expectations that were not met. I would describe it as a realistic fiction awkwardly set in a messed-up future.
Sorry you didn't enjoy this. I think the lack of resolution would annoy me, too.
