You are what you eat. . . .

Cat smart, sassy, and funny—but thin, she’s not. Until her class science project. That’s when she winds up doing an experiment—on herself. Before she knows it, Cat is living—and eating—like the hominids, our earliest human ancestors. True, no chips or TV is a bummer and no car is a pain, but healthful eating and walking everywhere do have their benefits.

As the pounds drop off, the guys pile on. All this newfound male attention is enough to drive a girl crazy! If only she weren’t too busy hating Matt McKinney to notice. . . .

This funny and thoughtful novel explores how girls feel about their bodies, and the ways they can best take care of their most precious resource: themselves.

This was an excellent book, there is so much to learn from it. It mixes science, experiments, nutrition, teen issues and romance. As a nutrition lover, I have to say that's the best aspect of the novel: analyzing in a conscious way what do we give our bodies? Is it nutritious? How much of what we eat every day is actually contributing to our nutrition and health, and how much of it is just garbage that tastes good? We may know we eat junk, but do we know how different it feels to eat good? If you have asked yourself these questions, this is a must read.

The book is so well written and such a wonderful story that you will be trapped from the beginning. The author spent a lot of time researching and experiencing Cat's journey for herself. The story was marvelous and the romance was so yummy. The characters were witty and smart and Cat's voice was original and humorous. If you like realistic fiction and authors like Sarah Dessen you will love this wonderful book.

  1. Your review was so wonderful that I definitely going to read this book.

Maybe I will learn something about really eating healthy food, not "just garbage that tastes good".

¿Eres venezolana? Que coincidencia, nunca lo hubiese imaginado :)

LOL

  3. Yup, I'm going to read this book for sure. Many have highly recommended it. I'm so excited to read it! Thanks for your review :)

  4. This is high on my TBR list. It sounds really good.

  5. I hear such great things about this but I just don't think it is my kind of book. Great review though.

  6. I haven't heard much about this one! Sounds interesting though, thanks for the review!
