Evermore - Alyson Noel

Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste…

Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is. Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

This was interesting to read. It has been my first real review challenge, I had to think a few times what should I write. The story is really pretty and interesting. She creates a magical amazing world and background so special, but you don't really know that until the end. The fact is I think the book should be longer. I felt things were kind of rushing to happen. As a reader, sometimes I didn't have time to get involved, to actually feel the story.

At first, I couldn't help to think the guy was a vampire and well, compare it to that other story. But no, it has nothing to do with it. This world is awesome. The characters are good though I couldn't actually like Damen until the final pages. But Ever is a great character, and I love Miles. And the cover, wow, I love it. It invites you in. What else can I say, if you are into romance and love against all odds you will definitely love this book.

  1. Can I say Twin minds??? ajjajaja Well we already had our little debate about the book...I told you! the end is really ..really nice! ...what happenned with the Uglies series?...I don't have the second one in Wake!! jajajaj

    p.s: I heart Miles too!!

  2. Yeah I know.. U will though.. I'm so loving it!! Emails affect me.. I asked top 5 series.. Wake was #1 in 3 lists, so I'm on it because its shorter.. I'm done today I think!

  3. I loved this book. I had read a review previously on a different website that said this book was total garbage and it really put me off. I finally decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did.
