City of Glass - Cassandra Clare

Mortal Instruments Book 3 -Final Book-

*Spoilers* If you haven't read book 1 & 2 I don't recommend reading this!

To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters -- never mind that enter-ing the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadow-hunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadow-hunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City -- whatever the cost?

This has no other word but Amazing! It is obviously my favorite book of the three. Oh, I just adore the characters. All of them, Sebastian included! She did a wonderful job keeping them real and unique. So many characters involved and they were all equally wonderful. The scenery was stunning, I cant believe I can actually see in my head a place that is pure fantasy. Well, not anymore, not to me.

It was a long journey and even all my previous heartbreaks were perfectly mended. It was the hardest one to read, and I was purposely reading extremely slow because I was praying for it to be longer. I didn't want it to end. But it ended perfectly. No cheesy or unbelievable ending. Just the right one. She made a terrific job with the surprising part, I admit I expected something to happen but not quite the way it did. She was terrific tying up the loose ends.

The cover of this book is as awesome as the rest. They make such a pretty collection. And finally the message of the whole plot -equality in every way- was one of the things I loved the most. She managed to create a terrific story -creative beyond any other- make a completely fantastic world come to life and send a message all at the same time. And with our required love dose in it. Marvelous!
